Main Line Tavern, Paoli’s newest restaurant, offers a comfortable new space for food and community, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today.
The Paoli tavern was started by Philip Ferro, who operates Five Star Restaurant Group with his partner Kate Hussey. After opening successful tavern-style restaurants in Coatesville and Chadds Ford, they opened Main Line Tavern in response to patrons’ requests for a location in the Main Line.
In renovating the space for Main Line Tavern, Ferro and Hussey refinished the space’s bar, kitchen, and flooring, in addition to the dining area and seating.
The menu features daily specials alongside steaks and sandwiches, as well as shareable appetizers and sides. The tavern also offers a variety of seafood options, including a raw seafood bar.
Ferro’s restaurant plans don’t end here. Five Star Restaurant Group plans to continue renovating Augustine Tavern in Middletown, Delaware, with additional plans for a brewery and a new restaurant to open in Coatesville in 2025 and 2026 respectively.
With Main Line Tavern already a success, Five Star Restaurant Group hopes to continue its goal of providing an accessible, enjoyable dining experience for all.
