Bishop Shanahan Lights Up Purple For ‘Hope for Hallie’ During Basketball Game

Bishop Shanahan students wore purple for Hope for Hallie.

Following a devastating loss after the death of their daughter Hallie, Christine and Kevin Jackson established “Hope for Hallie,” an organization dedicated to providing streamlined mental health support within the community, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6abc.

Hallie died by suicide unexpectedly in 2019. She was known for her energetic attitude and love of sports and family. While her family never discovered what she was struggling with, they took this as a sign to realize that anyone can be affected and impacted by mental health.

Recognizing that many individuals may be silent with mental health issues, the Jackson family aims to connect those in need with appropriate support networks to foster personal growth.

To raise awareness and promote their mission, Hope for Hallie participates in various community events.

Most recently, Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown held a basketball game where students all wore purple shirts to support the organization.

By engaging in these initiatives, the nonprofit strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing unspoken mental health challenges.
