The CCEDC is meeting a need for wound care training by bringing a special four-day course, entitled “Skin and Wound Management,” to Exton starting May 8.

Responding to an urgent need for better training on wound care, the Chester County Economic Development Council is rushing a special class to Exton.

The CCEDC has partnered with the Wound Care Education Institute to offer the four-day course “Skin and Wound Management” starting May 8.

The class was identified by members of the CCEDC’s Health Care Connect, a collaboration of hospitals, continuing care retirement communities, home health companies, acute rehabilitation facilities, educational institutions, and county development offices.

It also received grant funding from the Chester County Workforce Development Board and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

“WCEI is honored to teach our comprehensive ‘Skin and Wound Management’ course in Exton next month,” said Co-Founder and Instructor Nancy Morgan. “Our goal is for the clinicians to leave the course with improved clinical skills needed to deliver quality care and, most importantly, to help their patients to heal.”

Attendees of the CCEDC class are also eligible to take a national board certification exam for WCC credentials. Register for the class on the WCEI website here.
