Coatesville resident Arianne Missimer – the founder of the Movement Paradigm, an integrative health center in Downingtown – has refused to let cancer determine her future, writes Lisa Dukart for Main Line Today.

Missimer was diagnosed with stage-three liposarcoma two months before her wedding. As she began chemotherapy and radiation, she decided to start training for NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. She went on to compete on the show in 2016.

Afterward, she opened her practice, putting a focus on mind and body wellness.

“I’ve realized that my purpose was really to help change lives and help people take ownership of their health,” Missimer said. “I wanted to do that from a holistic perspective.”

A doctor of physical therapy and registered dietician who possesses a graduate certificate in applied mindfulness, Missimer uses different modalities to treat her patients.

“I’m passionate about trying to help people get to the bottom of their health issues and doing that through movement, nutrition, and mindset,” she said.
