ChristianaCare Primary Care at Jennersville is located at 900 West Baltimore Pike.

ChristianaCare, a healthcare system based in Newark, Del., has acquired two primary-care practices in southern Chester County previously affiliated with Tower Health. One is in Jennersville, and the other is in West Grove, writes Kenny Cooper for WHYY.

Some insiders predicted that ChristianaCare — Delaware’s largest, most advanced healthcare system — would try to purchase Brandywine and Jennersville hospitals from Tower Health. Although that didn’t happen, there is hope that ChristianaCare will bring a renewed sense of positive healthcare to the region.

“We are thrilled that these two practices are joining ChristianaCare,” said Dr. Lisa Maxwell of ChristianaCare. “Their addition strengthens ChristianaCare as a preferred provider of high-quality primary care services in southeastern Pennsylvania.”

ChristianaCare now operates 29 primary care practices for adults and children throughout Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and eastern Maryland.
