Coatesville Native Put It All on the Line to Become an Entrepreneur in the Industry He Loves

By

William Villafane

Coatesville native William Villafane – who owns several automotive businesses, including Penn Green Collision and PG Auto Supply in Avondale and Penn Green Auto Detailing in Kennett Square – put it all on the line to become an entrepreneur in the industry he loves, writes Jensen Toussaint for AL DÍA.

Villafane had always dreamed of starting his own auto shop since he was in elementary school. With his family on welfare, however, that dream often seemed impossible.

Still, he kept working toward his goal.

At 27, Villafane made the risky decision to leave the comfort of a $65,000-a-year job at an auto body shop in Wilmington to start his own business. He soon had a successful auto shop and was even able to expand.

The most important thing for Villafane, however, is that he is an entrepreneur in the industry he loves.

“Once I made the decision of going on my own, I feel like I haven’t worked since,” he said. “That’s why I think I’m successful at it, because you’re not working when you love what you’re doing.”
