Wellness Wednesday: Regaining Nutritional Balance from One Season to the Next

During the Summer it’s the BBQs, ice cream trips, and vacations.  During the Fall its tailgates and apple cider donuts and pumpkin spiced lattes.

Each season excuses creep in causing so many of to get off track of a healthy lifestyle.

But what if it didn’t have to be that way?

I believe firmly in the 80/20 rule.  80% of the time I am balanced, making healthy choices and the other 20%  I am enjoying ice cream with my daughters, a warm apple cider donut or whatever the season might bring guilt free.

I found a solution several years ago that once and for all cut the word diet out of my brain.  I kicked the guilt, made small changes, incorporated healthy superfoods into my diet and moved my body.

I knew if I wanted to see changes in my health I was going to have to do something different.  So if you want to tackle the fall feeling your absolute best, what are you willing do to do make a change?

I’ll let you in on a little secret…it should not be hard and it should not make you miserable!

  • Listen to your body to learn what it needs.
  • Take control of your cravings.
  • Get good rest.
  • Move your body.

Share with me what you are doing to hit the reset button now that the summer has come to an end.
