Settantatré Pasta, known for its delicious gluten-free offerings, has relocated from Delaware County to Berwyn and preparing for its grand opening on Sunday, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Matt Gentile and Genna Curcio’s pasta shop serves espresso, coffee, and pastries from 9 AM Tuesday through Saturday, then switches to panini and other savory items for lunch.
Since moving to the former Candelario’s Pizzeria site, the most popular offering has been the gluten-free tomato pie, followed by topped focaccias, both conventional and gluten-free versions.
Refrigerators and freezers are stocked with prepared foods and conventional and gluten-free pastas, a line of blast-frozen seafood items from Small World Seafood, and Wagyu beef.
A couple of tables are available for in-store snacking.
While there is also a glassed-in kitchen and a 35-seat dining room in the back, Gentile said the shop will not operate as a restaurant, per se.
“I have too many things going on,” he said. “It’s just not feasible.”
Instead, the dining space will be used for a 73 Club membership program – a nod to the shop’s name – where guests will receive access to exclusive experiences for $73 per month, including semiprivate twice-weekly dinners and cooking classes.
