Four Chester County places have found their way on the list of the top 25 wealthiest ZIP codes in Greater Philadelphia, writes Todd Romero for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The list was ranked based on the average household income obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau data for 2022. ZIP codes with fewer than 2,000 residents were not included.
The highest-ranked Chester County ZIP Code is Chester Springs (19425) in eleventh place, with an average household income of $243,172. The town had 17,385 residents in 2022 and 51 percent of households with incomes of $200,000 and above.
Berwyn (19312) is close behind at No. 12 with an average household income of $239,752. The town of 12,021 residents in 2022 had 47 percent of households with incomes of $200,000 and above.
Devon (19333) landed at No. 17 with an average household income of $221,248 in 2022.
The list is rounded out by Malvern (19355) at No. 25, which boasts an average household income of $205,359 two years ago.
