The public is invited to Home of the Sparrow’s Power of the Purse Fashion Show on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 5 PM, at The Desmond Hotel on Liberty Blvd. in Malvern.

This beloved event funds Home of the Sparrow’s programs and individualized case management to help women and children in Chester County avoid homelessness.
The fun begins at 5 PM with shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a purse raffle for a vintage CHANEL handbag. This is a great way to kick off your holiday shopping with merchandise from locally owned-boutiques.
The shop owners are returning 20 percent of their proceeds from the evening to Home of the Sparrow.
Some of the participating shops are Boutique W, Polkadots, REALM Fine + Fashion Jewelry, Refinery, Silver Linings Boutique, and Tish Boutique.
Jayne Brown, host at QVC, is the guest emcee. The show will feature models from the Home of the Sparrow family, including volunteers, board members, funders, donors, and community partners.
Finish your evening with a raffle drawing for a Vintage CHANEL handbag with an estimated value of $6,800. Each raffle ticket is $100. You don’t need to be present to win.
The handbag, a statement of luxury and style, dates back to 2004 and is offered in mint condition complete with its original dust cover and box.
Tickets to the Power of the Purse Fashion Show are $125 and include boutique shopping, the 3-course dinner, and the fashion show.
