West Chester Area School District Receives Major Gift from Five Local Giant Food Stores
Giant Food Stores has once more demonstrated their steadfast commitment to the community by donating more than 1,800 items to the West Chester Area School District, writes Holly Herman for the Patch.
Five local Giant stores gifted school supplies and household items to be distributed to disadvantaged students in the district’s 17 schools.
“We are so appreciative of exceptional partners like Giant,” said Tricia Alston, a district social worker.
She added that the generosity and commitment exhibited by Giant stores contribute to making the community a much better place to live, work, and learn.
The items were distributed to those who needed them the most by home and school visitors in the district.
“As members of this community, we understand the importance of supporting local children and families,” said Giant employees in a statement. “It’s our privilege to contribute to their educational journey, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.”
