Elverson-based Singer Equipment Company has continued its expansion with the acquisition of North Carolina-based Thompson & Little. The Singer brand now owns one of the largest foodservice equipment dealers in the Southeast U.S., writes Sam Lewis for Catering Insight.

Drew O’Quinn, current leader of Thompson & Little, will run the new division — which will operate under the Singer T&L name — as president. He will report directly to Singer CEO and President Fred Singer.

“I am excited about the opportunities that this acquisition will bring to our company and the employees and customers of Thompson & Little,” said Singer. “Drew and his team have a reputation for performing high-quality work and managing technical and complex projects.”

In addition to its headquarters in Elverson, the fifth-largest foodservice equipment and supply dealer in the U.S. has offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. It operates five distribution centers.

The company builds commercial kitchens for chain restaurants, higher education, healthcare, and other hospitality clients throughout the country. It also distributes operating supplies to foodservice establishments.

According to Singer, the company will “continue to look for other strategic acquisitions that enhance our ability to service key markets and customers.”
