Splitting Edge Axe is opening its third location in Coatesville.

There is a new place in Coatesville where residents and visitors looking to have a fun night out can enjoy one of the country’s latest favorite pastimes: sticking an axe into the bullseye, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

Splitting Edge Axe Throwing, which already has successful locations in Malvern and Pottstown, has opened its newest space in Coatesville.

Some renovations to the former Coatesville Record Building are still underway, according to partners Matt Bartnicki, Michael Majewski Jr., Daniel Glennon, and Steven Everett.

When all work is completed, the building will feature seven lanes with 12 people in each one. A guide will accompany everyone through their experience, coordinate games, and help keep score. Teams will also be able to battle each other.

“People come out of their shells like they never have before,” said Bartnicki. “It’s a fun and different type of experience. Everyone has gone bowling, now it’s axe throwing’s turn.”

Coaches as well as Bartnicki can teach customers how to throw an axe in just a few minutes.

The recently opened Record Kitchen + Bar will offer food and drink at the venue through a server.
