Jessica Capistrant, a native of DuBois, Pa., in Clearfield County, is President and CEO of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, an independent organization that represents the business interests of northeastern Chester, western Montgomery, and parts of Delaware counties.

Capistrant, who began working a paper route when she was 10 years old, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State. She credits Fred Hubler, who was chairman of the chamber’s board when she was hired, for having the biggest impact on her career.

“Fred has continued to be a mentor and cheerleader to me,” said Capistrant. “Working for a chamber, you are constantly meeting people of various backgrounds and influences, and I’ve had so many awesome relationships and touchpoints that way.”

Her proudest professional achievements are her involvement with major events, from the idea stage all the way through to executing them time and again.

“I’ve had the opportunity to create and contribute to many festivals and events, from the ground up,” said Capistrant. “We had a vision to utilize community events as a vehicle to bring people to Phoenixville and discover the changes and excitement for themselves. Events we organize have brought tens of thousands of people to Phoenixville, sometimes in a given day, and ultimately millions of dollars driven into our community businesses.”

Capistrant has many favorite restaurants in Chester County but loves the food and spirits that downtown Phoenixville has to offer.

Capistrant and the rest of the 2022 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration held outdoors on Tuesday, May 10 at Penn State Great Valley. The in-person event will feature food trucks, drinks, touchless registration, a VIP tent, and boundless opportunities to network. It will also be live-streamed.
