Malvern native Jessica Annas is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Meridian Bank.

Annas, who began working as a 14-year-old at Cheeburger Cheeburger in Frazer, earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State. She credits David Bucher with having made the biggest impact on her career.

“As Meridian’s original Creative Director, Dave laid the groundwork upon which our distinctive and innovative brand was developed,” said Annas. “As my mentor for over 10 years now, Dave taught me to always look at our communications from the customer’s perspective, to keep things simple and elegant, and to never take ourselves too seriously!”

Annas said that getting Bill McDermott, the former CEO of SAP, to speak at a Meridian Bank event in 2016 was her proudest professional accomplishment. McDermott, a highly-sought-after speaker, was the first non-European CEO of the German software giant with a North American headquarters in Newtown Square and 77,000 employees worldwide.

“Bill spoke to over 100 of Meridian’s customers and friends at The Desmond in Malvern,” said Annas. “He talked about his beginnings at Xerox, his rise to become the first American CEO of SAP, and how he grew the company’s market share by over $100 billion. He also signed copies of his book, Winners Dream, and took pictures and answered questions from the audience.”

Annas’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Manam Indian Cuisine in Malvern.
