It’s the dawn of a new era in the long and storied history of Fame Fire Company.

On Saturday, Nov. 14 from 1-3 PM, Fame will offer the public a glimpse into its future, as it hosts an open house to give donors and other interested members of the community a first look at its newly expanded and renovated facility at 200 East Rosedale Avenue in West Chester. Fame is entering the final phase of a $2.5 million capital campaign that it launched in 2014 to renovate and build a two-story, 8,000-square-foot addition.

Attendees will receive a special gift commemorating the event.

The new-look fire station features larger and safer work areas for the firefighters, trucks, and rescue equipment; new dormitories for live-in firefighters; rentable office space; and a unique museum highlighting the history of firefighting in West Chester.

Social distancing guidelines will be in effect.
