Earlier this year, Mark and C’Anne Wofford launched Oso Keto, a business that offers keto-friendly alternatives to carb-based snacks, writes Sonja Chen for Main Line Today.

Faced with health issues, the couple discovered the keto diet two years ago while attempting to change their eating habits. The diet focuses on eating a larger amount of healthy fats while avoiding carbohydrates.

“We’re really amazed at how changing the food that you eat can change your health — and change your physical well-being and your mental clarity,” said C’Anne Wofford.

The transition to not eating carbs was not easy, especially after the Woffords realized they could no longer enjoy the occasional charcuterie-style dinner. While meats and cheeses are keto-friendly, they could find no low-carb crackers.

So, they began experimenting and making their own crackers. The two recipes they came up with – almond crackers and seed-based “snackers” – became a hit among their friends, who encouraged them to launch their own website.

As a result, the Woffords partnered with the Artisan Exchange in West Chester at the beginning of the year, and Oso Keto made its official debut in May.
