Former Penn State and NFL defensive tackle Brandon Noble, a Chester Springs resident and the defensive coordinator at Downingtown East High School, is doing his part during the COVID-19 pandemic by delivering meals to local healthcare workers, writes Sean Kane for NBC Sports.

Noble, who co-owns Bright Spot Café in the Eagleview Town Center with his partners Tommy and Shannon Brower, said the idea originated from a phone call.

“A friend of Tommy called and asked if we could put together a lunch for the nurses at Paoli Hospital,” said Noble. “So we did it, we took it down there, and we saw the appreciation from the staff at the hospital that they had a hot meal individually packaged and rolled up to the door for them.”

From there, people began calling Bright Spot on a daily basis to buy meals for different hospitals.

As a result, Noble and his partners have delivered around 2,000 meals throughout the last two weeks.

Now, he is urging people who want to feed healthcare workers to get involved through donating money and meals by going to his restaurant’s website.
