Ridley Creek State Park Among Pennsylvania’s 10 Most-Visited Parks
Ridley Creek State Park is one of the most-visited state parks in Pennsylvania, writes Cassie Miller for the Pennsylvania Capital-Star.
The park that spans Edgmont, Middletown, and Upper Providence townships in Delaware County had the ninth-most visitors of Pennsylvania’s 121 state parks.
The ranking are based on data from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’s Bureau of State Parks.
Ridley Creek State Park had 976,188 visitors in 2019.
The eight state parks that exceeded Ridley Creek in visitors are:
- Presque Isle State Park, Erie, with 3,719,182 visitors.
- Pymatuning State Park, Jamestown, with 2,410,245 visitors.
- Prince Gallitzin State Park, Patton, with 2,033,886 visitors.
- Point State Park, Pittsburgh, with 1,869,602 visitors.
- Codorus State Park, Hanover, with 1,299,826 visitors.
- Nockamixon State Park, Quakertown, with 1,252,527 visitors.
- Moraine State Park, Portersville, with 1,203,685 visitors.
- Tyler State Park, Newtown, with 1,062,559 visitors.
