Goddard Park in London Grove Township is a 125-acre dog oasis where dog owners from across southern Chester County bring their pets to run around and hang out with other pooches, writes Jen Samuel for the Daily Local News.

The land was donated by Steve and Marna Goddard about a decade ago. The park was established in 2009 and opened three years later. It’s open to its four-legged guests from dawn to dusk.

“This one has really nice people that come and really nice dogs and everyone has good manners,” said Oxford resident Farah Krzywiski, who brings her Great Dane to the park. “I’ve always had positive experiences here.”

Last year, the township held a harvest festival in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the park.

The dog section sits on one acre divided into two fenced areas, for large and small dogs, respectively. Last year, the township added onlays for outdoor umbrellas to create shaded areas for the warm summer months.

There’s also a water fountain for the dogs to drink from during spring, summer, and fall.
