Herrs Foods To Host Bike Night Benefiting Muscular Dystrophy Association

Motorcyclists are invited to ride down to the Herrs Potato Chip Factory in Nottingham on Aug. 14 for Bike Night, a charity event to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

7.30.2014 herrsBike Night, co-sponsored by Lancaster Harley Davidson of Willow Street, is set for 5 p.m. to dusk at the Herrs factory, 20 Herrs Drive in Nottingham.  There will be music and food concessions with donations benefiting the MDA.  Lancaster Harley Davidson is also sponsoring $5 chances to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Summer snack factory tours at the Herrs factory are running as usual from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays.  The company advises calling ahead for reservations to take the hour-long tour. This includes a short Herrs history film in Chipper’s Theatre, a guided walk through the factory, and the chance to taste just-made potato chips and shop in Herrs’ retail shop.

Herrs employs approximately 1,500 people, and says it has current career openings at both its Nottingham and Chillicothe, Ohio locations.
