Caseworker II

This position determines if children are at risk of harm in accordance with regulatory guidelines; assesses client needs to develop individual treatment plans; monitors client participation and progress in programs per established case management standards; and ensures plan implementation.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in the social sciences and two years of experience in the human services field; good writing and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook; and a valid driver’s license and the use of a private vehicle.

Attorney I – Public Defender

This position interviews clients and witnesses to gather information prior to preliminary hearings; resolves cases at preliminary hearings or negotiates reduction of charges; and prepares full and adequate reports of clients’ preliminary hearings, with recommendations for trial attorneys.

The ideal candidate will possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and at least one year of job-related experience; a license to practice law in Pennsylvania; strong legal research, writing, and reading skills; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Assistant Fire Marshal

This position conducts timely, thorough, and accurate fire investigations to determine the cause of fires and/or explosions; investigates cases of arson or criminal negligence; conducts fire and life safety inspections; and maintains proper records of fire investigations and fire inspections.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in fire science or a related discipline; five years of experience in fire investigations and building/code administration; general knowledge of emergency services policies and procedures; and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
