Wellness Wednesday: When To Slow Down

I am the type of person who gives 100%. Years of working for someone else, I always strived for perfection and never felt like I was doing enough.  I was torn as a mom, a wife and a loyal employee.

When I transitioned into the role I have today, it took some time to realize the time spent ‘working’ wasn’t what was important, rather the income producing activities during that work time. As  entrepreneurs we must embrace the freedom but also so grounded to goals!.

Recently I realized we have to slow down to ramp up.  It is so important to grasp and appreciate the little things in life.  The every day moments are the ones we will treasure forever.

This summer we are spending 3 out of the 11 weeks of summer vacationing with our girls. We’ve experienced tremendous momentum with our business and while it is a true blessing, we haven’t taken the time to really appreciate the freedom that comes along with our business.

Taking some time to slow down while still staying plugged in because you love what you do is true freedom.

Follow these 5 simple steps to slow down:

  • Unplug & recharge.
  • Notice the small things.
  • Find joy in what you do.
  • Live in the moment.
  • Appreciate life.
