For many people, summer means a more relaxed attitude with late nights and vacation vibes.  But the summer can also be the time to achieve health goals.  Follow these 4 easy steps to stay healthy this summer.

  1. Increase your water intake. Make hydration top priority this summer. Carry around a refillable water bottle with you and set an alarm on your phone reminding you to hydrate.
  2. Get adequate sleep. Just because there will be late nights does not mean you should skimp on your sleep. Do your best to keep the same bedtime and wake up schedule to feel refreshed all summer long.
  3. Eat fresh as often as possible. With an abundance of Farmers Markets in our area, it is easy to eat fresh and local! Fresh fruit and vegetables are a great way to keep your meals light this summer.
  4. Move your body. Whether it be a walk on the beach, a bike ride with your family or a swim in your community pool, move your body every day.

These 4 steps are so simple, you won’t even know you are on the path to improve your health.  What are your favorite ways to stay healthy during the summer months?  I would love to hear from you.
