Residents at Five Star Senior Living in Exton Enjoy Visit from New Century Club of West Chester

By

Residents at Five Star Senior Living in Exton, particularly those in its Bridge to Rediscovery program, recently enjoyed a visit from members of the New Century Club of West Chester.

The Bridge to Rediscovery is an award-winning program offered exclusively at Five Star Senior Living communities. It features a Montessori-based approach to memory care that is specially designed to enhance engagement and quality of life for all residents.

Members of the New Century Club, a women’s organization dedicated to community improvements by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service, gifted 20 fidget mats that were purposefully designed for residents with limited mobility who can benefit from their calming effects and tactile activities.

“Our residents enjoyed interacting with the women, and they absolutely had a blast playing with the different mats full of zippers, ties, textures, and other zany things,” said Amber Page, Sales Director of the Five Star Senior Living in Exton.

A recipient of the Assisted Living Federation of America’s Best of the Best Award, Bridge to Rediscovery is care service designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment where seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia can flourish and share a positive life experience.

It caters directly to each resident’s needs and hobbies. Five Star Senior Living in Exton has small tables set up with a range of different activities that each person can do on his or her own, from painting to jewelry-making.
