Leveraging the power of 60 million Hilton Honors members, The Desmond is becoming a DoubleTree by Hilton with $3 million in renovations.

Malvern’s premier business and wedding destination, The Desmond, is rolling out the blue carpet — for the Hilton brand.

The family-owned hotel is switching to the world-renowned Hilton franchise, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report by Kenneth Hilario.

By next February, guests will stay at a vastly renovated hotel officially named The Desmond, a DoubleTree by Hilton. To complete the transition, another $3 million will be added to guest room renovations that were undertaken over the past two years.

“The scope of the work, design, and technology is a modern take on traditional decor,” said General Manager Michael Chain. “If you sit, sleep, and walk on it, it gets replaced with something new, classic, and stunning.”

The new work at The Desmond will include a full renovation of the lobby, connectivity center and hallways, new seating and artwork, a reworked The Hunt Room restaurant, and an added Hilton’s Made Market.

As a Hilton property, The Desmond will instantly welcome the 60 million members of the Hilton Honors rewards program.
