They’re poised to pull radical financial technologies out of a new innovation box called Cube8, which is the new development studio for The Bancorp, located in Wilmington, Del.

Based in West Chester and led by CIO Pete Chiccino, Cube8 is being designed to pursue both proprietary and collaborative solutions to cutting-edge fintech horizons like digital lending, digital payments, mobile payments, and blockchain technologies, according to a Blockchain News report by Richard Kastelein.

“With the singular focus of this group, we believe that we can take truly powerful and innovative ideas and turn them into business-driving and industry-leading services for The Bancorp,” Chiccino said. “I am excited at the opportunity to lead this initiative to help define the future of The Bancorp.”

The Bancorp President and CEO Damian Kozlowski sees Cube8 as a frontrunner to blaze next-level paths for the best-in-class services already provided by The Bancorp, even while the fintech industry continues to rapidly evolve.

Chiccino and his colleagues at The Bancorp worked with Eric Kuhn and Andrew Turner of West Chester’s Pillar Real Estate Advisors to find their new home in the borough.
