Night with Reading Phillies, Sadsburyville Enhancement Project Among Highlights of WCCCC Newsletter

By

Dan Robbins, Amy Stackhouse, Jennifer Goldbach Rhoads Energy owner Michael DeBerdine, and Ray Stackhouse, Keystone Valley Regional Fire District were a few of the More than 150 Chamber members and very special guests who enjoyed the Chamber's recent Gala on the Greene.

The celebration continues as the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce enters the third quarter of its 100th year of existence.

As you will read below in this edition of Western View, the Chamber’s quarterly newsletter, the WCCCC has purchased 5,000 tickets to the Reading Fightin’ Phils game on Aug. 4. Be sure to get your tickets for the event, as a fireworks display will cap the evening of fun.

Also, the Sadsburyville Village Enhancement Project is now set and ready to begin. This is an improvement project to help the village slow and control the traffic and provide a safe, unique, and more aesthetic place for the community.

The Coatesville Area Senior Center has moved into its newly renovated space at 250 E. Harmony Street in Coatesville (former site of CareerLink).

Coatesville’s Carver Court has been added to the National Registry of Historic Places. Carver Court, originally named Foundry Street Defense Housing, was designed as part of a federal program to provide housing for African-American steel workers and their families to support the World War II defense industry.
