GENEX Acquires Maryland Case Management Firm

GENEX Services, LLC of Wayne has just acquired M Hayes, a leading case management firm for the workers’ compensation and disability insurance markets. Financial terms were not disclosed.

GENEX, already one of the largest case management firms in the nation and number 381 on the Fortune 500 list, will now have more than 1,600 employee case managers. This includes 200 multi-lingual and 200 catastrophic case professionals.

“Our acquisition of M Hayes underscores GENEX’s strong commitment to clinical services and the critical role they play in controlling medical costs and disability duration,” said Peter Madeja, CEO and president of GENEX.

M Hayes’ 100 employee case managers make the firm one of the leading providers of case management services in the industry. GENEX is picking up a customer list that includes many of the largest workers’ compensation insurers and third party administrators.  The firm is based in Hunt Valley, Md.

Key executives, founder Melinda Hayes and co-founder Helen Froehlich, will be appointed to leadership positions within GENEX.
