Inquirer Story Says County Businesses Lack Top Female Executives

By

The region’s 60 largest publicly traded enterprises have no female top executives, top earners, or board members, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer story by reporter Jane M. Von Bergen.

“Women wonder why top jobs, seats on boards still lag,” shows a definite lack of female leaders in the region’s top companies – including those in Chester County.

The list includes notable local firms Triumph Group, Inc. of Berwyn, DFC Global Corp of Berwyn and Brandywine Realty Trust in Radnor.

There is at least one local organization supporting local women in business.  The Women’s Business Connection of Chester County is an independent group of female business executives and entrepreneurs that brings together women in business who are committed to each others’ success.

The Connection’s next event is from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Downingtown Country Club.  More information about the group and this event are here:  http://www.wbcchesco.com/
