By

Lifetime’s “Project Runway” co-host and producer Tim Gunn will launch his line of elegant and affordable bedding and bath fashions on West Chester’s QVC at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.

Gunn’s B&B fashions, inspired by his frequent travels to Asia and the art and pottery he acquired abroad, will be offered exclusively through QVC until Nov. 1.

The Tim Gunn Collection is designed with a variety of fabrics, classic prints and patterns, intricate details and exquisite colors.  Ranging in price from $35 to $250, the line includes bedding ensembles, decorative accent pillows, sheet sets, a shower curtain and even luxurious pet beds personalized with a pet-friendly play on Gunn’s famous catchphrase “Make it Work.”

Joe Heim of The Washington Post refers to Gunn as “the mother Theresa of the fashion world.”  Read more of their interview here.

The unlikely fashion guru (who is gay) revealed to NPR’s Terry Gross he is the son of a “macho” FBI agent father and a mother who didn’t like his clothes.

Ken O’Brien, vice president of merchandising for QVC, said Gunn’s eye for style and passion for great design runs through his collection and gives customers high quality home decor at affordable prices.

Gunn is also the host of  “Project Runway” spinoff  “Under the Gunn,” the former chief creative officer at Liz Claiborne, Inc., a best-selling author and an educator and former chairman of the fashion design department at the Parsons School.

There are new fall arrivals on the QVC site.  The company says it has shipped more than a billion packages in its 27-year history and that www.qvc.com is among the top general merchant internet sites.
