PREIT, Owner Of Exton Mall, Launches Two Unique Retail Partnerships

By

The Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, owner of the Exton Square Mall, has just launched two unique retail partnerships in the region.

First, the global retailer UNIQLO will open a 10,000-square-foot store on the third floor of Willow Grove Park this fall. UNIQLO features high-quality, casual apparel for men, women and kids.

“As we continue to focus on improving portfolio quality, we’re thrilled to add UNIQLO to our tenant roster in this first-to-portfolio transaction as well as to be a part of their expansion plans and introduction to the Philadelphia market,” said Joseph F. Coradino, PREIT chief executive officer.

Willow Grove Park is a premier regional shopping mall north of Philadelphia. It is anchored by Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Sears, JC Penney and Nordstrom Rack, and features more than 130 leading distinctive specialty stores and restaurants.

Secondly, PREIT launched a three-month partnership with GoMoto, an automotive tech company that’s changing the way people shop for cars. GoMoto allows customers to test drive and compare competitive classes of vehicles all in one location, and starting this month will be at Cherry Hill Mall for a first-ever, full-scale showroom and test drive experience.

GoMoto, founded by automotive industry veterans Benjamin Catanese, Marc Rubino and Todd L. Marcelle, is developing a better way to shop for cars. GoMoto provides many models in one comfortable test drive showroom.

GoMoto will have various models of trucks, sedans, SUVs and luxury cars from Acura, Audi, BMW, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Mercedes and Toyota. Shoppers will be able to stage test drives right from the mall parking lot with up to five other competitive vehicles in each respective class. Brand experts will answer questions about the vehicles, but will take the stress and pressure out of car shopping by referring shoppers on to dealers.

“We are excited to announce this event that offers our mall customers yet another innovative experience at the mall that will not only be new but is also a convenience,” said Coradino. “Integrating with pioneering partners like GoMoto aligns us with evolving consumer habits.”

If you want to try this approach to buying a car, GoMoto will be at Cherry Hill Mall until July 31.

PREIT, headquartered in Philadelphia, owns properties in 12 states, including 35 shopping malls, seven retail properties, and three development sites.
