Sly Fox Brewing from Pottstown and Phoenixville is always finding new ways to remain relevant amidst growing competition in the craft beer industry, writes Brad Rhen for the Reading Eagle.

One of the first craft breweries in Pennsylvania, Sly Fox was founded 23 years ago by Pete Giannopoulos. Since then, it has grown from a microbrewery in East Pikeland Township to one of the region’s largest beermakers.

However, with hundreds of new breweries opening across the state and beer drinkers continuously searching for new and different beers, Sly Fox needed to do something.

“Any brand has to refresh, and we were due,” said managing partner John Giannopoulos, Pete’s brother. “You got to stay fresh, you got to stay relevant, and that’s what we did.”

In the last year, the brewery has released several new beers, designed and implemented a new logo, and finalized plans for a restaurant in Wyomissing. Sly Fox has also agreed to be the exclusive beer supplier for a new restaurant in Reading at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.
