Downingtown-based Victory Brewing Company has launched into a new kind of pints with the release of a beer-inspired ice cream line. Pints of Hopped Up Devil, Triple Monkey, and Storm Drop are now available at the Kimberton Whole Foods and the Victory retail outlet in Downingtown for $6.49.
The Greater Philadelphia area will be able to enjoy these new treats at additional retail outlets as production capacity permits.
To celebrate National Ice Cream Day on July 20, Victory will offer all three flavors for free from 11:30am – 2:30pm at Shady Brook Farm in Yardley, PA. Guests younger and older than 21 are all are welcome to participate.
“Fans who are familiar with Victory beer will recognize the subtle tastes of some of their favorite brews in these delicious desserts,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. These new recipes use wort, the liquid extracted from the mashing process during the brewing of beer, from some of Victory’s most famous beers.
- Hopped Up Devil, based on HopDevil IPA wort, marries cinnamon, organic coffee, cayenne and luscious chocolate flakes to create a cold, sweet, velvety treat with a kick.
- Storm Drop, featuring Storm King Imperial Stout wort, blends deep chocolate drops against a creamy chocolatey-stout base reminiscent of malted milk balls.
- Triple Monkey, which uses Victory’s popular Golden Monkey wort, combines full-flavored banana and a delicious pecan swirl to satisfy all your taste buds.
If you are unable to attend the ice cream giveaway at Shady Brook Farm on July 20, Victory will be holding sampling events throughout the summer at Kimberton Whole Foods.
