Kennett Square is a historic borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, renowned as the “Mushroom Capital of the World.” It produces over 500 million pounds of mushrooms annually, accounting for half of the U.S. supply.
The town features a vibrant downtown with independent shops, eateries, and hosts annual events like the Mushroom Festival and Brewfest. Its rich history includes roles in the Revolutionary War and the Underground Railroad.
