Chester County Futures Launches ‘Level Up’ Career Development Series for Students and Young Professionals

Chester County Futures' Level Up: Professional Edge Career Series provides students and young professionals with expert guidance on career readiness, networking, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation.

Landing an internship, securing a first job, or making a strong impression in today’s competitive job market requires more than technical knowledge. It takes confidence, communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate your value to employers.

To help students and emerging professionals build those skills, Chester County Futures has launched Level Up: Professional Edge Career Series, a free four-part virtual workshop series designed to provide practical career development tools, professional mentorship, and real-world advice from accomplished business leaders.

Held on Tuesday evenings throughout June, the interactive series will connect participants with experienced professionals who will share actionable strategies for career advancement, networking, personal branding, and interview preparation.

What Participants Will Learn

The Level Up series covers key topics that can help students and young professionals stand out in today’s workforce:

  • June 2 – Career Readiness with Business Executive Kyle A. Poyta.
  • June 9 – Interviews and Networking with Executive Coach and Business Psychologist Nicky Westhead.
  • June 16 – Resume and LinkedIn Profile Development with Public Service and Economic Development Leader Lovely Lacey.
  • June 23 – Virtual Mock Interview Sessions, offering participants the opportunity to practice interviewing, strengthen their elevator pitches, and receive personalized feedback from experienced professionals.

The workshops are designed for students, recent graduates, and young professionals looking to improve their career readiness, expand their professional networks, and gain confidence as they pursue internships, employment opportunities, and long-term career growth.

“Professional success requires technical knowledge, confidence, communication skills, and the ability to effectively present your strengths and experiences,” said Mary Williams, Director of Community Engagement at Chester County Futures. “Through the Level Up: Professional Edge Career Series, participants will gain valuable tools, practical guidance, and direct access to experienced professionals who are committed to helping them achieve their career goals.”
