For some families, the transition into school comes with challenges far beyond the classroom.
After undergoing intensive treatment for leukemia, one young student faced not only the start of kindergarten but also the difficult shift from constant care at home to independence at school.
For his family, that transition brought understandable uncertainty. The presence of dedicated support staff through CCRES helped ease that fear, providing both stability and reassurance during a critical time.
As one parent shared, “Knowing that the paraprofessionals are there gives me peace of mind, helping him not only meet his goals at school, but also create independence so he can thrive on his own.”
That kind of support reflects the deeper role CCRES plays in the lives of students and families. Beyond academics, staff help children build confidence, navigate change, and grow into their own independence over time. For families facing complex challenges, that consistency can make all the difference, turning uncertainty into progress and ensuring that every child can succeed both in and out of the classroom.
