In Berwyn, Indian food and beer are the primary offerings of Vibe Haus, a recently opened restaurant and microbrewery from co-owners Karthic Venkatachalam and Gopal Dhandpani, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Vibe Haus Indian Plates & Taps is one of the many properties the pair have overseen over the years, but this Main Line location had a special draw. With its proximity to bustling King of Prussia and a brewery license obtained, Venkatachalam and Dhandpani are bringing the heat.
As an Indian fusion restaurant, much of their menu items are combos of their cultural cuisine with Mexican, Italian, and Chinese elements. Popular choices include lamb seekh kebab burgers, butter chicken wings, gobi tacos, and a curry section. They also carry a variety of vegetarian dishes.
For beverages, Vibe Haus supplies their own brews alongside Pennsylvania wine and spirits. Berwyn Lager, Maharaja IPA, Saffron Skies Ale, and Silk Road Pilsner are the four current house beers, with more in their arsenal coming soon.
“Indian food and house-brewed beer belong together,” said Venkatachalam.
