Birds Nesting, founded by Elizabeth Herremans, has moved from luxury real estate brokerage Serhant Pennsylvania to West Chester-based VRA Realty, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Herremans, wife of former Philadelphia Eagles guard Todd Herremans, founded the firm to help athletes relocate to and settle in the Philadelphia area. At first, she focused on Eagles players, but after joining Serhant, she expanded to other athletes.
Birds Nesting supports athletes who have recently signed with or been traded to a new team by offering real estate services and a network of local connections designed to ease their transition into a new environment. The assistance can include recommendations for doctors, hairstylists, restaurants, and other everyday services.
A key factor behind the move to VRA is its emphasis on real estate investment, which has become one of the areas attracting growing interest from athletes.
“VRA is strong in that corner of the industry, and that just seemed like a really great fit for another additional thing that I can offer clients,” said Herremans.
Since joining VRA, Herremans has expanded her client base beyond athletes, while working with executives and medical professionals relocating into the area.
