Local actress Madeline Raube will star in the new play adaptation of the beloved movie Clue in its Philadelphia debut, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc.
The play, based on the board game and film adaptation, follows six quirky guests as they solve a murder mystery. The classic “whodunnit” boasts hilarious slapstick comedy with plenty of twists and turns throughout.
A native of West Chester, Raube stars as Mrs. Peacock. Raube describes her character as an over-the-top, neurotic character “with all the bells and whistles” in her elaborate costume.
Raube shared that she loved the board game and used to play as Miss Scarlet. She is excited to bring the piece to life on stage.
But Clue is not the first performance for Madeline Raube in Philadelphia. She previously starred in the musical Anastasia at the Academy of Music.
Clue will run at Philadelphia’s Forrest Theater from Jan. 20-25. Tickets are available at the Ensemble Arts Philly website.
