From adults-only events to family-friendly gatherings, Chester County offers a wide range of ways to celebrate the close of one year and the start of the next, writes Lisa Dukart for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
New Year’s Eve festivities at Fenix Bar & Lounge in Phoenixville will begin at 5 p.m. with an $8 martini happy hour, followed by a performance from New Orleans-style jazz band Gumbo Nouveau from 7 to 10 p.m. The celebration will then continue at Molly Maguire’s.
In West Chester, comedians Chris Coccia and headliner Julia Scotti will keep the crowd entertained for The Laugh Lounge at Uptown! New Year’s Eve Edition.
Kennett Flash will host The Influence, a 1980s tribute band, in a 21-and-over event that will wrap up just in time for the Kennett Square’s iconic mushroom drop.
For family fun, visit the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library in Chester Springs for the Noon Year’s Eve event, featuring dancing, activities, as well as a photo booth. The celebration includes a kid-friendly countdown to noon for children aged 10 and under.
