Malvern Prep teams recently secured wins at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) Championships for both cross country and golf. The community recently gathered for a much-deserved celebration on Nov. 4.
The cross country team secured the PAISAA State Championship title on Oct. 25. The team defeated defending champions Penn Charter School and Episcopal Academy at the matchup at Belmont Plateau.
As for golf, Malvern Prep earned the championship title by tying for first place with Episcopal Academy on Oct. 27.
Both championship wins made for a truly remarkable season for Malvern Prep. Players from each team shared that hard training and consistent teamwork made the wins possible.
Many players also cross train year-round between golf, cross country, and spring lacrosse.
Looking to the future, golf team members already boast college acceptances to Villanova University and the University of Richmond.
About the teams and the journey to the recent championship wins, Malvern Prep athletic director Jim Stewart said, “When you sprinkle talent in with truth, unity, and love, which is our mission, good things happen.”
