Silly Little Art Shop is bringing local artwork and specialty craft supplies to Phoenixville, reports Bob Kelly for Fox 29.
The new small business on Main St. in downtown Phoenixville features supplies for paper crafts, fiber and textile arts, and fine art materials for drawing and painting. Silly Little also sells handmade artworks from embroidery projects to hanging tapestries by artist Lisa Urban.
On top of its retail inventory, the shop also hosts a wide variety of art classes. One recent workshop taught visitors linocut crafting to create Halloween bunting.
Owners Kenzie and Mallory are originally from Utah. The duo opened Silly Little Art Shop after sharing a dream of owning a creative business together.
Both mixed media artists themselves, Kenzie curates several gallery walls throughout Phoenixville, and Mallory’s background is in fashion design and costuming.
Additional class offerings range from multi-day workshops to drop-in craft clubs for a variety of age groups. For classes and workshops, all materials are typically included, and light refreshments are provided.
Upcoming classes include needle punching, a paper bookmark workshop for ages 9-12, and four figure drawing courses throughout September and October.
