Devon: A Year-Round Destination Beyond the Horse Show

Devon sits at the center of the equestrian world thanks to the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, and offers much throughout the year.

Devon sits at the center of the equestrian world every May thanks to the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, but the town offers much through the rest of the year as well, writes Sandy Smith for the Philadelphia Magazine

The town has houses that range from modest Capes to Victorian mansions.

The residents often hang out at Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard, a five-building complex with a garden center, an Anthropologie location, a cafe, and wedding and event venues. Additionally, Pizzeria Vetri is perfect for either a quick or leisurely meal.

For those who want to support a worthy cause while eating can head to the Black Cat Cafe, run by the Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society nonprofit.

Locals also like to either start or end their days at Pour Richard’s Coffee Company and Distillery. The coffee is roasted on the premises and incorporated into the distillery’s cold brew liqueurs.

Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens is another popular attraction, inviting visitors to enjoy its beautiful natural surroundings free of charge.

It is also worth noting that the Devon Horse Show grounds host additional equestrian events throughout the summer.
