Takumi in Devon Village is the latest Main Line venture of Yvonne Yang, of Qu Japan Bistro & Bar in Philadelphia and Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao.

Yvonne Yang, who has already partnered with Eddie Zheng on two ventures, Qu Japan Bistro & Bar in Philadelphia and Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao in New Jersey, has now brought her well-honed skill set to Devon Village with Takumi Bistro & Bar, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today

Yang feels that an artisan’s attention to detail fully shines through at the Wayne eatery that is elevating the local Asian dining scene.

She has found the right chef to ensure that the sushi and sashimi being served are top-of-the-line. Larry Jiang trained with Nobu, a hospitality group launched by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper. While he excels at everything he makes, his omakase service and unique rolls are easy favorites.

Other highlights on Takumi’s menu include the creamy kimchi udon, the salmon tartare, and the sashimi dinner box.

The cocktail list offers more than 15 sakes, such as The Lotus Blossom, which is a thrilling combination of Nigori sake, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, lychee puree, and lime juice. The Shiso Fantastic and the Sake to Me Margarita are also excellent choices.
