Nick Foles has a strong legacy with the Philadelphia Eagles for many of his on-field plays, but off the field, he also had a strong legacy and it all has to do with coffee, writes Zach Berman for The Athletic.
Fellow former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz said of Foles, “He was a good barista.”
During his time with the Eagles, Foles would often brew coffee for teammates and coaches, while sharing its health benefits.
In 2019, he landed an endorsement with Bulletproof 360 Inc.
Foles’ devotion to coffee included making the coffee himself at a station in the Eagles’ quarterback meeting room.
According to former Eagles quarterback Nate Sudfeld, Foles would brew about eight ounces of coffee, add a tablespoon of unsalted butter, a tablespoon of brain octane MCT oil and collagen protein, and blend it all together.
He added that the coffee really helped the team’s morale during a grueling stretch of the NFL season.
After Foles left the Eagles in free agency to join the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, the Eagles had to make an adjustment.
However, Foles’ coffee acumen continued to be felt by his former teammates.
