Homes in the Philadelphia region continue to fly off the market amid inventory shortages and high competition, and two Chester County towns are among the ZIP Codes where homes are selling the fastest, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
In June, homes traded hands in a median of just ten days among the 18 fastest-selling ZIP codes in Greater Philadelphia. That is significantly faster than the national average of 45 days on the market for the same period. That is also a two-day increase compared to June last year.
As a result, some sellers are getting multiple offers, seeing contingencies waived, and selling their homes at above the asking price.
Parkesburg (19365) made the top five on the list in third place. The median list price in the town is $450,000, while a home spends just eight days on the market on average.
Exton (19341) ranked at No. 17. The median list price in the ZIP Code is $622,000, with a home spending 12 median days on the market.
