The “Free Movie Weekend” is a part of Pluto TV’s “Summer of Cinema” campaign, which provides complimentary movie tickets during select weekends to independent and family-owned theaters around the country all summer long.

The campaign’s mission is to honor the movie-going experience by championing local theaters.

The free movie lineup includes Matilda and Shrek on August 3, Wings (1927) on August 4, and a new release, Trap, on August 3 and 4. The showing of Wings (1927) will be accompanied by a live organ performance by Brett Miller.

The Colonial Theatre recommends arriving ahead of time, as there will be fun activities going on in the lobby before showtime, such as photo ops, giveaways, and more.

Tickets for any of the above showings can be reserved through the Colonial Theatre’s website.
