The Walk For Women Home of the Sparrow fundraiser returns this year.

Home of the Sparrow is bringing back its Walk for Women fundraising event to raise money for women facing homelessness so they can achieve housing stability.

The rain or shine Saturday, May 18 event at the Rajant Corporation, Great Valley Corporate Park, 200 Chesterfield Parkway in Malvern, gives everyone a chance to come together as a community for a healthy and fun day.

Registration or the one mile Walk for Women event is available here.

You can also register and find out more at the Home of the Sparrow website.

This family-friendly event will have free food and coffee, face painting, fairy hair, lawn games, volleyball, balloon animals, and a short walk.

There will also be opportunities to learn more about the mission of Home of the Sparrow.

The non-profit is hoping to raise $20,000 from this fund-raising event.

Cost is $30 per person, with children under 14 admitted free.

All registrants over age 14 will receive a T-shirt handed out on the day of the walk.

Activities begin at 9:30 AM with check-in and T-shirt pick-up. A community welcome follows from 10:15 to 10:30 AM.

The one-mile Walk begins at 10:30 AM.

Food and family fun activities open at 11 AM and run until noon.

Home of the Sparrow’s mission is to partner with women facing homelessness to secure housing, achieve long-term stability, and chart new paths for their futures.

The nonprofit was founded in 1994 and after 30 years of service, more than 8,000 women and children have been served.

Home of the Sparrow provides a safety net for single women, mothers, and their children in Chester County who are facing housing instability.

The non-profit provides rental assistance, individualized case management, housing for older women, and gift-in-kind programs like back-to-school supplies, winter coats, an adopt-a-child holiday gift program, and a giving garage to provide women with the household supplies not available through the food benefits program.
