Great Wolf Lodge Opens Its Largest Resort Close to Chester County
The new 700-room Great Wolf Lodge is a good summer getaway if you are looking for a place that will provide loads of fun and do not want to travel far from Chester County, writes Melody Simmons for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The chain’s largest resort officially opened late last month in Perryville, Maryland, around an hour from Philadelphia.
“This is about smiles, this is about fun, family, and jobs,” said Maryland Gov. Westley Moore.
Visitors are already fully enjoying the many amenities the chain’s largest location has to offer.
“The kids have gone to dance parties, character meets, and interactive story time,” said Lucreatia Perry, who visited the resort with her four children. “We made a family vacation out of it all.”
The development of the resort cost $250 million. The soft opening took place two weeks before the official opening and attracted a lot of out-of-state guests, with many more expected to visit this summer.
The resort can be found off Interstate 95 near the Susquehanna River.
